"We wanted to update our 90's kitchen, but didn't know who to call. After reading the reviews for Salcans and meeting with Pavel, we decided to have them do the work for us. We had never done a remodeling project and Pavel was very helpful and patient. He had many good suggestions and helped us pick out materials..."

"Pavel and Avel were great contractors! They remodeled our bathroom quickly and it looks beautiful. I especially appreciate how they balanced working quickly and tried to be minimally invasive in our home. Our client reached out to us and asked us for a full bathroom remodel in Vancouver, WA, in their master bedroom. They wanted a custom-made shower room with Floresta Verde tiles, and they needed a new vanity, mirror, flooring, toilet, walls to be painted, and the rest of the bathroom to be remodeled and renovated.
The homeowner wanted their shower room to be demolished and redesigned, a new double vanity to be installed, improved lighting, and a clean look to their bathroom. The existing layout had inefficient storage and a small alcove tub that was rarely used towards the end.
Inspect & plan (1 day): They told us how they want their walk-in shower, double-vanity cabinets, and overall bathroom to look with what material. We also gave some suggestions to boost their bathroom's look.
Preparation and Demolition (3 days): We covered their master room and made sure dust would not go through, and began the demolition phase, removing old vanity, mirrors, toilets, storage, and shower room. The client already had materials ready to go.
Remodel Work / Construction (3 weeks): rough plumbing/electrical → tile & waterproofing shower room → installing their new flooring → install cabinetry, countertop, mirror, lights & fixtures → finish & inspection.
Quality control: Daily photo logs for the homeowner; third-party inspection for plumbing rough-ins.

Unlike inner Portland's early-1900s bungalows, Beaverton-area homes reflect the city's postwar boom and decades of steady suburban growth. In neighborhoods like Cedar Hills and Sexton Mountain, homes range from 1950s-60s single-story ranches to hillside builds from the 1990s and early 2000s, while areas like Murrayhill and South Beaverton mix 1980s two-story construction with newer infill. Salcans works within the real constraints of these homes, from reconfiguring a cramped mid-century ranch bathroom footprint to updating a builder-grade layout with modern fixtures and finishes.
Any Beaverton bathroom remodel involving plumbing, electrical, or structural changes requires permits through the City of Beaverton's Community Development Department, Building Division, a separate authority from Portland's Bureau of Development Services. Permits are filed through the city's Beaverton Electronic Permitting System (BEPS). Salcans manages this entire process on your behalf, submitting plans, paying fees, and scheduling required inspections, so you never have to deal with city hall directly.
